At 52, I was stuck. 
I was eating plant-based. I was exercising.
I was doing "all the right things."

But I was also gaining weight, dealing with high blood pressure, frustrated by persistent rosacea, and struggling with two herniated discs. I felt exhausted, frustrated, and disconnected from my body.

I thought my body had given up on me. Turns out, I just wasn't fueling it right.

When I learned how to eat strategically for midlife – with enough protein, the right balance of nutrients, and a focus on building muscle instead of just losing weight – everything changed.

At 57, I lost 45 pounds. I got off my blood pressure medication. My rosacea cleared up. I built more strength than I'd ever had.

And then, at 59, I was featured in STRONG magazine's Best Body Guide. Talk about a complete transformation!

But more than the physical changes, I found freedom. I stopped pushing my body and started working WITH it. I discovered a way of eating I actually love and can sustain for life.
